N-Scale Division
The second popular modeling scale of today, this small
size means lots of fun in very small spaces. Our N-scale division
as a modular layout built close to NTRAK standards, with some
localization. Our dual mainline layout is usually
growing. The layout is wired to operate
as a DC or DCC layout using NCE.
HO-Scale
Division
The HO scale is the most popular modeling scale presently.
With a ratio small enough to fit on a sheet of plywood, it's a
practical way to model. With two layouts, there's plenty to keep
HO modelers busy! The HO division has a traveling modular layout
with a double track mainline. The O-shaped modular layout can be
configured as small as 8 by 8 feet or as large as 16 by 28 feet.
With city, industrial and farming scenes; this crowd-favorite always
makes an impression in public.
The HO division
is also proud of its newest layout, a dog-bone shaped, double-mainline
with a passing siding near the operating station. After 7 months
of labor, this layout made its first public appearance at the
Governor's Square Mall for the 2004 Christmas season adored
with Christmas tree stands, holiday reefs and Christmas lights
lining the streets. With one mainline running DC and the other
DCC, there's something for everyone on the new, modern layout.
Large-Scale
Division
The large scale division primarily operates Lionel toy
trains. With a table-top traveling layout, they amaze viewers with
images of the trains all adults grew up with. From steam to diesel,
passenger to freight, the Lionel trains capture the imagination
of many. The Lionel layout features operating lights and other
working accessories. Often you'll find kids at the controls as
junior engineers.
Recently,
this division also received its first member interested in
miniature steam. Showcased at our annual show for the first
time last year, we look forward to providing updates very soon.
If you're running trains larger than HO, you'll be right at
home with this group.
